Nursery tour: A peek inside Jenson’s room

Jenson has been sleeping in his own room for nearly two months and I’m only now ready to post a nursery tour! His room was finished minutes before he spent his first night in there because it was previously used for storage and because the frame we had planned to hang broke pretty much as soon as it was up (our walls are shit!), I wanted to wait until we had something else on the walls before I took photos. Yep, I know I’m a tad anal about these things. Anyhoo, take a look at the cuteness of Jenson’s room!

The wall vinyl is one of my favourite things. We bought it on sale in Argos when I was pregnant so it was great to finally get it out of the box. It comes with so many cute little pieces that we managed to scatter around the room.

The height chart was a great find – just a few quid from The Works. I’m always in there checking out comic book offers. And we got these cute little monkey hangers from Amazon – so handy for hoodies and dressing gowns.

It’s a small room but we’ve got all the essentials in there. There’s a massive wardrobe which takes up most of one wall and houses mine and Luke’s over-flow clothes as well as Jenson’s. His cot is a cotbed so it’s a good size and will last a good couple of years.

The curtains, light shade and mobile are part of a set from Next. There’s a cute sheet and duvet too but the sheet is in the wash (oh, I should have waited to take photos – it has stars on it!) and he’s too young for the duvet.

We have some of Jenson’s favourite books in a bookcase in his room but a lot of them inevitably find their way into a pile in the living room. We need another case for his room because we’ve got a load of overflow in the office. I don’t know where he gets it from!

I also really love all of the blue elephant stuff. The blanket and cushion are from Next, the Slumber Buddy was from Babies R Us and the blue alphabet blanket was secondhand. Oh, and you might have spotted the print on my Instagram the other day – it was just a few quid from Card Factory! They’ve got loads of cute little bits.

No doubt in a year or so, if we haven’t moved (#housedramas!), we’ll be able to decorate it again according to Jenson’s own tastes. Right now he seems to love penguins, giraffes and Paw Patrol!
