Follow Friday #50

Last week I was too knackered to post a Follow Friday, so my 50th(!) post is now a bumper special. Seems rather apt. Looking to experiment in the kitchen this weekend? I’ve got you covered with loads of new recipes, as well as tips for those wanting to start a bullet journal and a whole loada books I’ve just added to my TBR list. Enjoy!

follow friday

Film & TV

Blair Waldorf is so freakin’ wise!

Tink has convinced me to embrace my inner Miranda Hobbes. I always thought/hoped I was a Carrie (writer) or Charlotte (hopeless romantic) but I’m totally a Miranda!

Lifestyle

My skin has gone to hell since having Jenson and I’m looking for the perfect, simple, affordable skincare routine. Ami Rose’s post about T-Zone products has encouraged me to keep an eye out in Boots this weekend

Becky has some great ideas on how to make more time for yourself

Baby

Helen has just launched her own business – Isabella Mai-de. I’m gonna have to get a few of these for Jenson!

I love it when men talk about how awesome their partners are for having kids – especially this dude who thinks his wife is a ‘badass’

When you become parents us time becomes so important. Myself and Luke have a few hours to ourself about once every six to eight weeks to go and see a film we’re both interested in – that is literally the only baby-free time we have. Which is fine – we asked for this and all – and it is definitely not taken for granted.

Make it

Wanna give some new recipes a go this weekend? Have a crack at these yummy apple and apricot flapjacks, unbaked cookie dough bars, lemon cake and The Audrey Cake. Yep, I’m a cake fiend. Mmmm. Cranberry and apricot cinnamon rolls

Don’t worry, there are some savoury ideas too – like this must-try goats cheese and pesto on toast. I freakin’ love goats cheese.

Hosting a dinner party and looking for a main meal? This slow cooked lamb and sweet potato casserole sounds amazing. As does this chorizo, chilli and garlic linguine.

Bullet journal

Books

I’m a massive Sophie Kinsella fan and have a soft spot for young adult books (which, FYI, you’re never too old for) so I really need to finally give Finding Audrey a go

How beautiful is this edition of The Secret Garden?!
