Simple mindfulness practices for everyday life

[I was sent this product for review purposes and all thoughts are my own. This post also features an affiliate link]

I’ve been trying a few different tips and tricks this year to bring a bit more mindfulness into my everyday life. I’ve been journaling, keeping a gratitude log, regularly setting and reflecting on goals, and trying various activities in an attempt to find something which works for me and which I can embed in every day.

Something I’ve learned which does work for me is not forcing myself to do something daily and being able to pick and choose the activity. These new mindfulness cards are perfect because they’re ready when I need them and I can choose a prompt from more than 50, from four different categories – plus they’re cute AF.

The box is split into four sections: Rest & Balance, Curiosity & Joy, Insight & Awareness, and Kindness.

They’re multipurpose too – you could draw one at the start of the day and use it as a point of focus, you can choose one in the evening for a bit of reflection, or you can stick them in your journal or pop them up on the wall for inspiration.

The four categories work really well as your needs are constantly changing. Whether you want to focus on self-love, goal setting, motivation, or restoring calm, there’s a card for that.

I thought I’d show you an example of a card from each section so you can see how easy they are to add to your daily routine. Each section also has two blank cards so you can add your own activities.

The cards aren’t at all preachy and the activities are achievable – even for people who think they’re too busy to take the time to focus on themselves.

Some of the suggested activities are things I either already do to some degree, or things that I know are beneficial and yet I just don’t make the time for them. That all stops now.

I think the kindness section will be my most used initially. While I’d like to bring more calmness, creativity and order to my life, I think the area I need to focus on the most is being kinder to myself – slowing down, lowering my expectations, and just taking some time to be.
