A few of my favourite things #116

It’s been nearly two months since I last wrote one of these and, seeing as Jenson just went back to school, I thought I’d share some pics from the end of our summer.

Out and about

Over the last few weeks we started to feel a bit more comfortable heading to various venues, so we had a couple of meals out and went to the cinema a few times (still my favourite place). It certainly helped things feel a bit more ‘normal’.

Graze & Treats

The best place just opened in Bread Street in Penzance. Graze and Treats is open to eat in or takeaway and offers loads of tasty treats, including picnic boxes, cheesecake bowls, and cocktails. I took a picnic box up to my gran and we sat in the garden for a couple of hours – highly recommended.

New books

After an initial peak at the start of lockdown my reading has seriously suffered over the last month or two. I pre-ordered The Midnight Library and need to make it a priority after seeing lots of positive reviews.

I’d seen lots of great things about Half a World Away too, so picked it up on a 3 for £5 offer in The Works – bloody bargain!

I’ve missed so many local events and signings of The Salt Path and finally bought a copy when I noticed that the follow up had just been published. That TBR pile isn’t getting any smaller!

Have you read any of these yet? Which do you recommend I start with?

New stationery

Of course, you can never have too much stationery and I’ve been loving Oops a Daisy’s mini boxes. Just look at the unicorn box!

I also had to buy this stunning narwhal journal when I saw it on Instagram. Consider me influenced!

Sometimes I surprise myself – I had to have a go at these blackberry scones when Ghenet shared The Mother Cooker’s recipe.

And it turns out I can keep plants alive after all! You know what the trick is? Regular watering. Whodda thunk it?!

Autumn is coming

I bloody love autumn! I’m already feeling the cosy autumn vibes (check out my new bedding below) and I’m all about the changing colours. Bring it on!
