December journaling workshop: Get ready for 2023

One of my creative highlights of the year has been hosting in-person workshops.

A Cornish Geek Letters creative wellbeing workshop at Morrab Library

In case you missed it, I currently host fortnightly creative wellbeing taster sessions, where I introduce people to creative journaling and brush lettering, plus monthly journaling and lettering workshops. The tasters showcase different types of journaling, I supply templates to get people thinking about what might work for them, and everyone gets a free starter pack, including a dot grid notebook and fineliner. Attendees are then encouraged to have a play at home and come to follow up sessions to reflect and share ideas – I host weekly sessions for those who want to create weeklies on a Monday morning, and monthly sessions for those who want to plan one month at a time.

I’m planning on doing something a bit special at the end of the year to help people prepare for 2023 – a workshop dedicated to reflection, goal setting and planning for the new year, as well as a bit of self-love.

For this workshop, I’m going to go a bit ‘extra’, with lots of goodies to help set attendees up for the new year, including templates, stationery, and a rather sexy journal.

You’ll likely have seen the Yop and Tom journals, or at least the navy hot air balloon one I used for the first half of the year – it featured heavily on my Instagram earlier this year and I bring it along to my sessions as an example. If you book a place on my December journaling workshop, you’ll get one these as part of an epic stationery bundle. I appreciate that everyone wants to choose their own journal, so I’m circulating a survey to find out your preferred colour and icon, as well as other things you’d like to see as part of this package. You can check out the various journal options here.

If you’d like to come along to this session, please complete the survey to let me know your preferences. Please note that the Monday sessions will be at Mirva Craftspace and the Friday sessions will be at Morrab Library.

To ensure I have materials for everyone, I’ll need to confirm bookings by 30 October, with payment (this can be a £10 deposit or full price – more details to follow).

    1. It depends on what is included in the final stationery bundle, which is dependent on survey responses. I’ll aim to keep it as affordable as possible – likely around the £30 mark. All survey comments are appreciated ☺️
