I missed last week’s Friday Favourites because we had just moved house but I’m back with a bumper crop this week! Sidebar: I can’t say ‘bumper crop’ without thinking about the heart-breaking Never Let Me Go. Anyone else?
1. Den building. The boys made a den with our moving boxes and Jenson loved it. I can’t wait to do more of the same as we play indoors through the winter
2. Gu chocolate cheesecake. Oh em gee, this is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! Good job they come in individual portions or me and Luke would end up having half a big cheesecake each!
3. B&M. Penzance now has a B&M! I went three times in the first week it opened – oops! My favourite buy has to be this lightbox, which was only £7.99! I also picked up vinyls and a touch light for Jenson’s new room, a new laundry hamper, overdoor hooks… Hopefully we’ll be pretty much unpacked in a couple of weeks and I can do some room tour posts!
4. Moving house. As stressful as it was, we managed to get everything in the house on the day. I still don’t know where half our stuff is but we’re slowly getting there. The best thing about moving house? People bringing flowers and cake when they visit!
5. Appleyard Flowers subscription. I won a three months’ subscription to Appleyard on Rosalilium. The first bouquet arrived two days after we moved. It’s now a week later and they still look and smell bleddy gorgeous!
6. Humans teaser advert. We loved season one of Humans and season two is finally on the way. I’ve love the teaser ad, which initially didn’t indicate that it was for a TV series, which I thought was a great tactic.

7. Autumn walks. I went out for a walk with Jenson the other day, crunching on golden leaves. He’s not walking around properly outside yet so I found a fun leaf for him to play with instead.
8. Breathe magazine. It’s funny how just reading about taking a break and mindfulness can instantly make me feel more relaxed.
9. New coffee cup. This glittery coffee cup from B&M definitely jazzes up my dark mornings.
10. Winning. Guess who won a Zebra Pens competition on Twitter! I was so chuffed to get these in the post this morning. All the post I’ve had to the new house has been aces so far. Before this I had notification of a Council Tax refund and my Appleyard flowers. Nice one!
FYI, I usually email these photos to myself from my phone but our internet connection is so shit at the mo that I’ve had to copy them from Instagram. I don’t like using square photos on my blog. Booo. Anyhoo…
I’m usually lucky to have just one thing planned for the weekend but it’s a beaut this week. We just had my dad over for dinner, tomorrow morning I’m off out to a pumpkin patch with mum and Jenson before Aunty Toni comes over to play, then on Sunday I’m off out for a roast with my old uni housemate and her fiance – it’s the second time I’ll have seen her in nine years! Excited!
