In case you missed it, I spent 24 hours in Brighton last week for a work conference. Most of my time was spent at said conference but I did get a chance to explore in the evening and grab a non-hotel breakfast in the morning. I reviewed the fab My Brighton Hotel on Monday and today I’m sharing some photos of the area.
I didn’t know much about Brighton before my visit and was amazed at how beautiful it is. In fact, after even a short time there, I think I’d be quite happy moving, if it wasn’t for the fact that everyone I love is based in Cornwall. It’s definitely a home from home. Look how pretty!
Although, I’ve got to say, I was disappointed at the amount of bins and roadworks in front of the pretty buildings.
I couldn’t go all the way to Brighton and not visit the Pier.
Now, I’ve got to be honest, I didn’t technically win the unicorn. I had a few goes at knocking the cans over and I swear the beanbags were faulty or something! I had a little moan about being a shit mum who can’t even win her kid a toy (the mum guilt was real) and the guy gave me a unicorn. What a love!
I Googled reviews of Brighton breakfasts and filtered it to places between the hotel and train station, which were open at 8am, and we headed over to Bill’s. Such a gorgeous cafe.
When going out for breakfast/brunch, more often than not I get pancakes. Nom! (I removed the slab of butter)
After breakfast we travelled into London – more on that tomorrow.
