I didn’t publish one of these posts last week so prepare yourself for a fortnight’s worth of papery goodies, as well as a bit of a life update.
Books That Matter
My dad let me have my birthday present early – the November Books That Matter box. It’s the ‘write yourself feminist’ box and includes a copy of Doris Lessing’s The Golden Notebook, a pencil case, pen, bookmark, planner and journal.
Bookstagram
I’m so in love with Bookstagram at the moment. I’ve been dipping in and out of #cozyascanbee and the ‘orange covers’ prompt encouraged me to switch to rainbow shelves. I don’t know where anything is but it’s so satisfying to look at.
Oh
For years I’ve swooned over the covers of Oh Comely on the newsstands but my part-time wage doesn’t allow for many magazines these days. When I spotted the relaunch on Instagram I knew I had to pick up a copy of Oh (just look at that cover) and I’m so glad I did. Most of the time I skip a couple of articles in a magazine but I literally read every single word of this issue. And my aunt has bought me a subscription for Christmas. Yay!

Giveaway deliveries
I’ve won a couple of giveaways recently and loved seeing the prizes drop through the letterbox. The first was a copy of The Procrastination Paper and a selection of Sarah Alleyn‘s products.
I love these cards and am looking forward to using these stickers in my 2020 bullet journal.
I also won this stunning edition of The Great Gatsby from The Beautiful Book Company.
SherbetBox advent calendar giveaway
Don’t worry, I’ve got something awesome to give away too. The SherbetBox advent calendar has sold out but Claire is offering one of you lovely stationery addicts the very last box! Find out more on my Facebook page, Twitter, and/or Instagram.
Christmas crafts
Speaking of Christmas, Jenson and I started making our Christmas cards at the weekend. I spotted this on Pinterest and I thought I’d turn it into a lettering and finger painting project.
Mindfulness and gratitude
Jenson was poorly most of last week so, with very little ‘me time’, I had to try and capture moments where I could, such as appreciating the beautiful sunrise on the commute.
Mindful photography
The lack of ‘me time’ had an effect on my mood and, come the weekend, I was irritable AF (could also have something to do with adjusting to new meds). Jenson felt better yesterday so we went to the park and I tried a bit of mindful photography on the way.
I’m really enjoying this autumn – it’s flipping’ stunning.
I quite liked the moody plants and clouds too.
Autumn lettering
I’ve been trying to keep up with the lettering when I have the time too. I recently bought a pack of the autumn Ecoline pens and had a quick play the other night.
What has made you smile lately?
I love your rainbow bookshelves- they look so pretty! Also loving the look of all the books and stationery in this post. :)
Thanks ❤ I hate taking books off the shelves to photograph now cos I’m crap at putting them back straight away 😂
