Not long before the world went to shit, I popped down the road to my brother’s place (something I already miss so much) and ‘helped’ the kids make Little Paper Swan’s Easter cake. I popped into Poundland on the way for some festive photo props, which kept their mum and I entertained too. We all love a festive photo sesh.

I’m not normally one for baking but because this one is set in the fridge, it’s impossible to fuck it up! Check out the recipe here and read on for some rather cute photos.

Yep, we dug out all of the pastel and chocolatey props we could find. I’ve since broken this lamb mug and might have to grab another one next time I’m in Poundland.

Not gonna lie, I totally bought tulips just for the photos. And I was super impressed with Poundland’s fake grass runner.
And the cake? I thought that with all the chocolate in the recipe it would be a bit sickly but it wasn’t, and I highly recommend giving it a go. I can see us ‘baking’ another one while we’re stuck at home.

I used a smaller dish than the one in the recipe so I halved the ingredients. Next time I’d use more biscuits for the base.

Seriously cute and tasty! Cathryn has just posted a cheesecake recipe which I think I’m gonna have to try too.
What have you been baking lately?
That looks amazing!
