A Cornish Geek Letters, Workshops

Upcoming Creative Wellbeing workshops

First of all, thank you so much to the lovely ladies who came along to last week’s tasters. I really enjoyed it and hope you did too.

Workshop at Morrab Library

I plan to make this a regular thing and I’ve now got the following dates in my diary at Morrab Library:

Friday 27 May (afternoon)
This will be a ‘set up your journal for June’ session, looking at spreads and trackers etc that you think would be useful. Rather than holding two one-hour sessions, this will be a two-hour drop-in session for you to come along at a time that suits you. This will be £5/person (you can pay by card in advance or cash on the day – either way I’d appreciate an email beforehand so I have an idea of numbers) and I’ll throw in some freebies from my own product line (more on that in a bit!). Refreshments provided.

Monthly tracker

Friday 10 June (afternoon)
I’ll be running the combined taster sessions for those who missed the first one 1.15-2.15pm, and a modern calligraphy session for those who have already attended a taster from 2.30-3.30pm. Taster sessions will stay at £5 and include the beginner’s goody bag. For June, the follow up session will be £5 and include some more supporting handouts. From then, I’ll look to introduce something different each month, including a new pen, for £6/session. Refreshments provided.

Practice makes progress lettering

Thursday 30 June (afternoon)
Like the May session, this will be to set up your journal for the coming month.

Saturday 9 July (afternoon)
This is last week’s rescheduled children’s taster (we were up early with a tummy bug!). If you booked onto the original session, I’ve dropped you an email about the new timings. If you haven’t already booked but have small children you think would like to come along, it’s £5 per child aged 5-11 (they’ll get a notebook and some goodies to get them started). Younger ones are welcome to come along free of charge and do some colouring etc. If the weather is on our side, we’ll do some nature mindfulness outside too. Squash and tea/coffee supplied.

Then we’ll look ahead to more July dates! I’ll also keep you posted about other venues and types of sessions.

If you’d like to explore new ideas and products in the meantime, I’ve been blogging about stationery, journaling, and lettering for several years and have a load of resources you could check out.

If you’re in the market for some new stationery, I highly recommend Under the Rowan Trees. Perfect for journals, pens, and loads of other stationery goodies. Use EMMA10 at the checkout for 10% off and I’ll also receive a small commission.

I also have my own Etsy store. I design my own notepads, stickers, washi tape, bookmarks etc, largely based around wellbeing and female empowerment (Patrons get 10% off). A selection of products are also available from my stall at Penzance Market every other Friday and I’m now stocked in Mirva.

If you’re on a budget, you can also try your luck in my National Stationery Week giveaways – some of them are still open. Head over to my Instagram account to be in with a chance of winning a bundle of children’s stationery, colouring pencils, a Stabilo pen bundle, and a bundle of my products.
