I’ve tried a lot of different brush pens, and have a few favourites, but I’m always looking to try something different and see if there’s anything better out there. The Pentel Touch Brush Sign pens have long been my favourite small tips brush pen but Dom leant me her Tombow Fudes recently and I think I might be converted!
These pens are from the pack of ten and I love the bold colours. I noticed straight away the difference with the Pentels. The Tombows are much firmer and I actually prefer that now that I’m feeling more confident with my lettering; they were so lovely to write with.
.After the usual pen test I ventured into a bit of Christmas lettering instead of the typical ‘quick brown fox’. When I’ve not lettered for a while I do have to remind myself to go slow and focus on my letter formation, but I felt it was quite effortless moving between strokes and thicknesses with these pens.
