Celebrate National Stationery Week with two days of creativity, community, and craft
If you love stationery, creativity, and a chance to slow down and make something you’re proud of, this two-day event is for you. Join me 15-16 May at Morrab Library for a joyful celebration of National Stationery Week – packed with hands-on workshops, beautiful materials, and plenty of inspiration.
Day One: Creative Workshops for Adults
Immerse yourself in a full day of creativity with five back-to-back workshops, each designed to help you explore different aspects of journaling, lettering, and self-expression. Thanks to generous sponsorship from Pentel, Manuscript, Studio Pens, STAEDTLER, and Under the Rowan Trees, attendees will also receive over £100 worth of stationery freebies throughout the day.
10:00–11:00 | Morning Pages with Studio Pens / Kaweco
Start your day with intention using a Really Nice Pen. This mindful journaling session encourages you to let go of worries and focus inward.
11:05–12:05 | Dip Pen Modern Calligraphy with Manuscript Pen
Learn the art of dip pen calligraphy with a variety of nibs and shimmering inks. Perfect for beginners or those looking to refine their technique.
12:10–13:10 | Blended Lettering & Illustration with Pentel Expressive Set
Refresh your brush lettering skills and explore colour blending using waterbrushes and palettes.
13:10–13:40 | Lunch Break
13:40–14:40 | Ikigai Journaling with Under the Rowan Trees
Discover your passions and values through guided prompts and templates, and explore how they connect to your work and purpose.
14:45–15:45 | Creative Journaling with STAEDTLER
Wrap up the day by journaling your own way, supported by a bundle of high-quality tools including pens, pencils, stencils, and more.
Each workshop is £8, and you’re welcome to join for one or stay for the full experience. If you’re planning to attend all sessions, bring a packed lunch – hot drinks and biscuits will be available throughout the day.
Day Two: Family-Friendly Creativity
Bring the whole family along for a relaxed and creative day designed for all ages. With workshops at just £5 per person and over £50 worth of freebies, it’s a perfect opportunity to introduce younger creatives to the joy of stationery and self-expression. (Please note: adults must accompany children.)

A gentle introduction to creative journaling with prompts and templates for those who want guidance.
11:45–12:45 | Hand Lettering with Manuscript Pen
Explore different lettering styles with age-appropriate worksheets and materials tailored to all abilities.
12:45–13:30 | Lunch Break
13:30–14:30 | T-Shirt Painting
Design and decorate your own t-shirt using a range of colours and styles. Suitable for ages 3+ through to adults (sizes up to XXL).
14:30–15:30 | Additional T-Shirt Painting Session
A second chance to get creative – limited spaces available.
