They may say you should never judge a book by it’s cover, but these Penguin Classics are so pretty that they would make a great addition to any bookcase.
You can pick up all of the titles from Waterstones for a little over a tenner each (£10.49). I have barely begun my collection (Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Emma, Jane Eyre, Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, Shakespeare’s Sonnets) but I would like to own them all eventually – they’re numbered so it would be incredibly rude not to! What I particularly love is the apt cover imagery, for example, the flamingos on the cover of Alice in Wonderland and the scissors on Little Women. Perfect!
Other titles: Bleak House, A Christmas Carol, Cranford, Great Expectations, Gulliver’s Travels, Hard Times, The Hound of the Baskervilles, Inferno: The Divine Comedy 1, Jabberwocky, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, Les Miserables, Mansfield Park, Middlemarch, Northanger Abbey, The Odyssey, Oliver Twist, Persuasion, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Sense and Sensibility, A Tale of Two Cities, Tess of the D’Urbervilles, Treasure Island, The Woman in White, Wuthering Heights
