My life in photos: March 2015

Now that we are once again connected to the wonderful world wide web, I can share with you my March in photos! Prepare yourself for lots of pregnancy and moving shenanigans!

1. We went to see Simon Amstell at the Hall For Cornwall and he was awesome. We saw him there a couple of years ago and when the opportunity came up to go again I jumped at the chance – especially as I managed to blag tickets through work!
2. Evidence of my ability to be a big brave girl while having numerous blood tests. So relieved not to have gestational diabetes!
3. The boyfriend got me tulips for Soon-To-Be-Mother’s Day. N’awwww!
4. Saw this bottle of non-alcoholic mojito at Trevaskis Farm and couldn’t resist – and obviously had to jazz it up with a fancy glass and cocktail umbrella
5. Left the midwife and had a craving for ice cream – luckily Mr Bs was open. Yummers!
6. Times are hard but I wanted to do something to repay everything for helping out with the move/decorating. Flowers are easy for the ladies but what for the men? Baking! I previously shared the recipe here.
7. We had a mini team afternoon within my department at work and my lovely colleagues presented me with this adorable Superman onesie! Well, an IOU as it arrived a day late, but it’s here now and looks awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing him soar across the living room – in his dad’s arms, of course!
8. Some of my notes from a coding course I recently completed. I just hope it all still makes sense when I come to implement it on the blog!
9. My lovely baby brother surprised us with new flooring for the baby’s room in the new house. Such a sweetie!
10. Boxes. So many boxes. Did I mention that I love moving house?
11. Got to spend some time with this little cutie!
12. My parents’ dog is three and this is the first time I’ve seen him go up to my dad with his lead in his mouth. Cute or what?!
13. My midwife appointment was in the middle of the day and it didn’t make sense to spend an hour commuting to work only to leave a wee bit later so I worked from home. Turns out it’s not that easy to sit on the sofa with a laptop and growing bump!
14. We’re aware that there are going to be fewer opportunities to go out on our own so we went out for dinner in Penzance.I wanted to try something different (bizarrely) and we ended up going to Blacks in Chapel Street – I highly recommend it. It’s beautifully decorated, great food, great service and they went the extra mile to make me yummy mocktails.
15. I got a teeny bit excited buying a new tablecloth for the dining table. We often eat on the sofa rather than at the table but it’s getting harder with the bump and I want to get into the habit of actually sitting at the table. We’ve been here for ten nights now and have eaten at the table twice…
16. I was so excited to get to nearly 30 weeks without particularly prominent stretch marks but they’re popping up all over the place now!

Hope you’re all having a lovely April so far!
