Ever gone to pick a new bullet journal only to find that you can’t get exactly what you want? You might be able to find a cute cover but it doesn’t have dotted paper. Or it does have dotted paper but you can’t personalise it. Or the paper stock isn’t thick enough for your favourite pens. Well, Not Only Polka Dots may have the perfect solution with their new line of custom notebooks.
Everything about these notebooks is customisable:
- Size – square, TN, A5, A6 or A7
- Number of pages – 48, 64, 80, 96, 112
- Page finish – lined, plain, dotted, graph (single or combination)
- Cartridge paper upgrade
- Cover design – plain (choice of five colours), patterned (choice of eight patterns) or custom
- Personalised (e.g. name on cover)
They’re all individually made and hand stitched.
I chose an A5 notebook with 112 dotted pages, cartridge paper and a flamingo cover with my name on it. Look how pretty!
Of course, I had to do the ol’ pen test to check for bleed through and the only pen that didn’t hold up was the Sharpie. It’s perfect for fineliners and highlighters.
Here’s a note of the pens I used:
- New favourite biro (gotta love the extra personalisation!)
- Blue fineliner
- Zebra biro
- Zebra gel pen
- Black fineliner
- Purple highlighter
- Orange Sharpie
So, what’s the final verdict? The quality is great. The printing of the patterned design is faultless, the cover is glued well and it’s perfectly stitched. The notebook folds out flat without damaging the spine and it’s cute as hell! Plus I’m really pleased with the paper quality. To duplicate that set-up it would cost £16.50 – very reasonable to customise it exactly how you want it.
Prices start at just £3 and UK delivery is free when you spend over £15. Founder Imanina has also teased some new products on Instagram ahead of National Stationery Week and I can’t wait to see what else is coming soon.

Oh wow, this is so cool! I like that you can personalize so many aspects of it but the cost isn’t too much. I tweeted. 🙂
