We were sent this kit for review purposes and all thoughts are our own
Jenson has always shared my love of stationery but since Lockdown we’ve enjoyed our daily handwriting sessions. Even on a non-school day, he’ll ask to practise ‘rainbow writing’, where he sits down with his pens and handwriting book, and I catch up with my Blink Lettering workbook.
Sometimes I do a bit of journaling or watercolouring too and he keeps asking to join in. After exhausting various old notebooks, I figured it was time he had his first bujo, and Jo from Oops a Daisy very kindly offered to send out her ‘My First Journal Kit‘, a new line from Daisy Doodles.

This kit contains a B5 square grid notebook, three stencils, a branded pencil, washi tape, and oodles of stickers.
The notebook features a fun cover page by Snail Scribbles and prompts for various spreads.

The stencils are great for older journalers and we’ll certainly be making use of the superhero one.

Although Jenson already has a million pencils, he now refers to this one as his special ‘handwriting pencil’. In fact, he loved this box so much that he wanted to send Jo a thank you video.

We were also sent a colouring sheet which he took to straight away – we’re both going through a bit of a rainbow phase at the moment.

Next up was making his mark on his new bujo with his favourite colour.

We’re looking forward to plenty of afternoons journaling together and will be sharing some updates soon.
Have you got a mini stationery addict who’d love one of these kits?
