I have always been a pen and paper kinda gal. Colleagues keep trying to get me to go digital with my daily organisation but I reckon you just can’t beat a diary – I like the ones with slots for meetings. Of course, they get moved and cancelled all the time and I like to keep my diary quite tidy. What’s a girl to do? Always have a stash of erasable pens! They really are a game changer.

A friend introduced me to Pilot’s Frixion pens a few years ago and I’ve never looked back, so I was excited when Pilot sent me a bundle of goodies to try out.

The Frixion Ball pens are the ones I’m most familiar with. I like to use black ink in my diary but I love being able to add colour to my bujo too. Plus I like to get the ol’ red pen out when I’m proofing a hard copy.

Just when you thought you couldn’t get better than erasable pens: erasable highlighters! I regularly use highlighters in my paper diary – for urgent tasks, key meetings and the like – but erasing an entry with an erasable pen and a traditional highlighter is a bloody nightmare because you’re left with highlighted lines. Not any more! I invested in a few pastel Frixion highlighters last year and I’ve loved adding more colours to my collection. They don’t smudge your writing either which is always a plus.

The Frixion Clicker has become my new go-to diary pen, and I’m pleased to see that you can buy refills too (as with most Pilot products). It writes with a 0.35mm line (slightly less than the Frixion Ball’s 0.4mm), yet it feels hugely superior. It’s so smooth to write with and comfortable to hold – the perfect pen! The fineliners are oodles of fun too – fab colour range, great flow – just a bit lighter than the ball pens, and with a 0.45mm line.

The G2 are pretty fun too. These aren’t erasable but come in great neon colours and I enjoyed playing with them in my black sketchbook.

With a 0.32mm line, the writing isn’t too heavy, but if you prefer something a bit more prominent just add a layer or two.
