Creative Christmas crafts

I’ve surprised myself at how creative I’ve been this Christmas. Not only have I made my own cards and wrapping paper, I’ve also made decorations and a non-traditional wreath! I’ve posted a fair few pics on my Instagram grid but I thought I’d put together a blog post too.

I am all about the pom poms from Poundland! These pom pom trees were inspired by the fabulous Paige Joanna.

For my Christmas cards, I used a pack of Kraft card from The Works and got out the ol’ Gellyrolls. I tried a mix of lettering and doodling before getting out the embossing glitter and faithful pom poms for the reindeer.DIT Christmas cards

I decided to use these designs on Kraft wrapping paper too, with some traditional red and white twine.

I got the chalk pens back out on the windows too.

Oh, and I made a wreath! We had a virtual Christmas team day which included wreath making. I’m not one for flower arranging so I thought I’d take my chances with a Christmas jumper wreath instead, wrapping my twine around the frame and weaving in mini baubles. It’s incredibly wonky but I reckon it adds to the charm.

My favourite thing I’ve made is these trees. I spotted them on my library’s Facebook page, tracked down a tutorial and voila!

I couldn’t decide if I wanted to keep them plain or decorate them so I went with three different designs. Which is your favourite?

  1. Love the cards and wrapping paper – it’s given Megan idea for next year. I made These book Xmas trees last year, they are so quick and easy to make. Very recycle friendly.
