Some weeks the only real time I get to myself is when I’m travelling to and from work. It’s a four-hour round trip and the only part of the day where someone doesn’t want something from me – when I’m not either at work or with Jenson. I’ve always got a book on me because I literally don’t have any other time to read. To read at home means sacrificing time for something else – namely blogging or sleeping.
I’ve recently won a couple of blog/Twitter competitions where I’ve been sent some books which I hadn’t previously heard much about so it’s always a surprise when I’m really taken in by one. This week that book was The Next Together by Lauren James and I can’t wait to get my mitts on the sequel.
What was the last book you couldn’t put down?
It’s sadly been years since I found a book I couldn’t put down, but I remember it vividly. The Temporal Void by Peter F. Hamilton 🙂 A sci-fi novel by my favourite author.
