It’s that time of the week again: here’s a look at what I’ve been loving over the last seven days.
Well Sunday was bleddy lovely. We went out for lunch for my dad’s birthday and it just so happened to be The Cornish Barn’s last Sunday roast of the season – timing! And sooo tasty.
Jenson was very impressed with his brownie and ice cream. I was quite taken by their strawberry lemonade.
We then headed along to the end of the St Ives Food & Drink Festival. Jenson isn’t one for crowds or strangers so it was good that we went along a bit later.
He loved walking along the beach and wanted to go in the sea – before he realised that it was a bit cooler than his dip in Penzance the other day, so it was a case of “Mummy, carry” so that I was in the water and holding him, so that I guess he was kind of in by association? Go figure.
Obligatory beach hut pic…
We were pretty full from the roast but there’s nothing better than some chips after an afternoon on the beach. Jenson loved his first fish and chips.
Now for something super nerdy. Have you seen the 50ps for the anniversary of the women’s vote?
The rest of the week has been quite quiet, with early nights, catching up on The Good Fight and finally watching Grey’s again after a three-week break. I’m trying to decide what to do about 13 Reasons Why… I semi-binge watched it last time but it was quite hard going, so I might spread it out a bit. Anyone else started on it?
Have a lovely weekend. I’m still having my life dictated by daily doctors appointments but hopefully not for much longer, then I can start going further afield with Jenson at the weekends. We’re way overdue a trip to Trevaskis Farm, especially now it’s ‘pick your own’ season.
