This is my third #LittleLoves and I’ve gotta say I like this alternative to my previous Friday Favourites posts. I’ve loved discovering other blogs in the linky and it’s great to find a new way to engage with other bloggers. Here’s a look at what I’ve been up to this week.
Read: I’ve actually read a lot this week. I started out with Mindy Kaling’s Why Not Me (recommended – the girl is hilarious and I want her and Lauren Graham at my ultimate celebrity dinner party) and because I whizzed through that in two days I also picked up Sylvia Plath’s Ariel for the first time in about a decade. Jenson got a new book this week too, courtesy of a lovely book PR we’ve worked with in the past. We’re looking forward to more books coming our way soon!
Watched: Two nights in a row this week Jenson graced us with an early nights. It meant that we could finally get stuck back into Daredevil season 2 – which we need to finish before watching Luke Cage and then we can start on Iron Fist. We’re so behind! Sidebar: How awesome is Jon Bernthal’s Punisher?!
Heard: After jumping on the podcasts bandwagon a couple of weeks ago I’ve added a lot to my list that I haven’t actually played yet. Right now I’m catching up on Sara Tasker’s Hashtag Authentic.
Made: Although I didn’t technically make it (Luke designed it based on a massive PDF of ideas and inspiration I gave him), I’ve redesigned the blog! I’ve still got some updates to make in terms of recategorising and image sizes (maybe I should just delete old posts with few views?), I’m chuffed with the general look. What do you think? Taking/choosing a new profile picture was probably the hardest thing!
Wore: I went to my friend’s hen do last weekend (afternoon tea at Dolly’s in Falmouth – review post coming soon) and I wore a new frock and everything!
And lastly: I think I’ve ditched my ‘item of the day’ posts. Kinda by accident initially because I didn’t spot anything particularly exciting and was focusing on the redesign. I know it’s not about the numbers but I don’t spend a lot of time promoting these posts so I don’t get a lot of views (it’s more about the brand engagement) so I think I’m going to do semi-regular wish list posts instead. Let me know if you’ll miss these daily updates and I might reconsider. Otherwise I think my posting schedule might consist of #LittleLoves on Fridays, Saturday Share, Self-Care Sunday and two posts in the week.
What do you all have lined up for Mothers Day? Luke and my mum are both working so it’s just me and Jenson. I’m hoping for a relaxing day of Disney movies!
