I thought that having not posted a Little Loves/Friday Favourites last week I’d have more to talk about this week. ‘Unfortunately’, I didn’t have much of a life outside of National Stationery Week. I say ‘unfortunately’ because it was actually bloody awesome. I got to work with some fantastic brands, building/growing great working relationships, I’ve introduced readers to some new stationery suppliers, I’ve had touching responses from my giveaway winners and I’ve won some awesome stuff myself. Pretty epic week I’d say.
Here’s a look at what else has been going on over the last two weeks.
Read: Spandex and the City. This is a review copy so I’ll be sharing more in a future post.
Watched: The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete and Finding Dory. Myself and Luke had another rare evening to watch a film together and we caught up on a film we’ve been meaning to see for a while. It had been a while since I saw the trailer and didn’t remember much about it. Warning: it’s not exactly cheerful and uplifting. It’s an incredible film and worth watching, especially for the fantastically talented young cast and a barely recognisable Jennifer Hudson, but don’t expect to come away feeling warm and fuzzy.
We’ve also seen Finding Dory. A lot. It’s Jenson’s new favourite film and we’ve been known to have it on a constant loop – he’s so sad when it ends. Looks like we’re getting Dory party decorations this year!
Heard: podcasts. OK, so I’ve bookmarked a load that I’ve read about on other blogs. But I’m totally gonna listen to a few when I crash early rather than re-watch more Gilmore Girls.
Made: lots of cups of coffee. We’re super busy at work at the moment and sometimes it’s a four cups day, especially when my alarm goes off before 6am so I can pop in early and squeeze in an extra hour.
Wore: new jeans. I’ve been living in the same two pairs of jeans since Jenson was born and they both wore out at the same time. I really hate jeans shopping as I struggle to find a pair I feel comfortable in. Browsing in New Look the other day all the pairs were super skinny, ripped or not in my size. Joy. Fortunately I found a new pair of my former faves in Peacocks for £9.00. Bargain and sooo comfy!
And lastly: National Stationery Week. Sorry, I’ve got to give it another mention as I’ve still got a couple of giveaways running. You’ve still got time to win a journal, notebook and pack of postcards from Say Nice Things and a month’s subscription to Proper Post. Good luck! :)
I hope you’ve all got something fun planned for the weekend. I’ve got a ridiculous amount of laundry to catch up on but we’ve also got a birthday party later today and we’re catching up with a friend tomorrow, so it ain’t all bad. Have a good one :)
