Self-Care Sunday #23

Blogging is the rare bit of time I get to myself. I write for my own sanity more than any other reason and when I don’t get the chance to write for a few days I feel a bit on edge.

I don’t like to write at my laptop in front of Jenson because I like him to be my priority. I don’t want to stop mid-flow to build a train track. I want to focus on one thing at a time – although I might subtly draft a post on my phone on occasion.

This week I simply didn’t have the time or energy to blog when Jenson went to bed (at 9-10pm!) so I admitted defeat yesterday morning and brought my laptop downstairs to catch up on a few posts. And the world didn’t end! And Jenson still had my attention and didn’t miss out. In fact, for most of that hour or so he sat next to me happily watching Minions for the 50th time this week and played with a train set.

So my tip this week is to do what you need/want to do – completely guilt-free!
