My birthday and Christmas wish list 2018

With my birthday just a few weeks before Christmas, it’s about this time of year that I put myself on a book buying ban and send Santa a little list of titles which have caught my eye, plus a few extras (typically beautiful books, sexy stationery, pretty prints and slogan sweaters). Of course, like most bloggers, I make the list available for the whole world to see! Here are a few things I’ve got my eye on.

Books and stationery

Becoming by Michelle Obama, Amazon, £12.50
Roar by Cecelia Ahern, Amazon, £8.99
Feminists Don’t Wear Pink and Other Lies curated by Scarlett Curtis, Amazon, £7.99
New Erotica for Feminists: Get What You Deserve, Again and Again and Again, Amazon, £9.99
Anne of Green Gables crate, Bookishly, £35.00
The Declaration of the Rights of Women: The Originial Manifesto for Justice, Equality and Freedom, Amazon, £9.19
Matilda at 30: Chief Executive of the British Library, Amazon, £8.64
Rebel Girls Journal, £15.00

2019 diary, Paperchase, £14.00
Hand Lettering Journal, Paperchase, £14.00
Brush pens, Paperchase, £5.00

You can never have too many feminist non-fiction books. And I’m hoping to improve my calligraphy in the new year.

Clothes and smellies

Bronte Avid Readers Club sweatshirt (grey), Joanie, £30.00
Carved slate top (bookshelf), Seasalt, £39.95
Emmeline Pankhurst sweater, Bookishly, £29.00 (grey with black text)
Martha book print shirt dress, Joanie, £40.00
Festive sack of vanilla marshmallow delights, The Body Shop, £18.00
Jane Austen sweater, Bookishly, £29.00 (grey with black text)

Matilda Bath, Book & Bedtime Gift Set, Boots, £29.00 (products also available separately)
S-elf Care is Snow Joke BuddyBox, Blurt, £21.50

I’m always a sucker for a slogan top. And I can’t stop thinking about The Body Shop’s vanilla marshmallow collection since I got a whiff of the body mist.

What are you asking Santa for this year?

  1. I’m asking Santa for a scuba diving computer, a year of Spotify and some house stuff for my new place! No books really because I can find most of what I want for free through the vast network of libraries in my area.
