The first item of stationery I ever fell in love with was a glitter gel pen. I’ve always loved writing but writing at school bored me. When I discovered back to school stationery shopping, and choosing products I actually liked rather than those Berol pens supplied by the school, writing became an actual joy because I couldn’t wait to use my new favourite pens.
When Stationery & Art sent me their new Pentel Dual Metallic Gel pens to review, I came over all nostalgic and couldn’t wait to put them to the test.
I wanted to focus on the ‘writing for pleasure’ idea and decided to write some of my favourite quotes on random pages in my bullet journal.
These pens are so smooth to write with and I love the range of colours (available in green & blue, black & red, blue & green, orange & yellow, violet & blue, and pink & pink).
And you know what makes these pens extra fun? The colour changes depending on what you’re writing on, so if you’re using a blackout journal or black card, the colour changes (note to self: buy some coloured paper).
The colour also changes depending on the angle at which you hold the pen – so clever!
Photos don’t do these pens justice. I’m a bit obsessed with writing something and then waving my notebook around in the light. Head to my Instagram post for a video if you like this kind of thing (who doesn’t?)!
Don’t forget, you can save 10% with my code GEEK10. Also, check out their sister company, Spotlight Stationery, a fab monthly stationery subscription service – the code works there too!
