Today is arguably the pinnacle of National Stationery Week, as it’s World Stationery Day. As such, I thought it would be pertinent to treat my fellow stationery addicts to an international giveaway!
My sponsor for today’s post is Spotlight Stationery, the ideal site to help you indulge your passion for stationery. You can sign up for monthly or bi-monthly boxes, and pause or cancel your subscription at any time. Plus you can buy previous and one-off boxes – ideal for gifts (y’know, from me to me!).
Each box is themed and I was sent the March 2019 Journal Box to review – perfect for this bujo addict.
The box features a Legami journal, Stalogy sticky notes, three Zebra 0.5mm Roller RX pens, a roll of Maste washi tape, a mini Stabilo highlighter, and a set of postcards.
The journal is fantastic, with 192 numbered pages, a square grid, built-in index, additional template pages, back pocket, page ribbon and elastic closure.
I know it’s easy to enough to number your own pages and set up your own index but I love it when a journal comes with those pre-printed.
The Legami journal features 20 pages with special contents, including a world map to track your travels, space for yearly goals, monthly planners, plus pages for your contacts and passwords.
I did the usual pen test at the back with the supplied Zebra pens and Stabilo highlighter and there was minimal ghosting. Big thumbs up to Legami.
At 12x18cm, it’s a bit smaller than what I’m used to, and I do prefer a dot grid, but I love the additional features – and the colour is stunning. I know there are lots of bullet journalers who prefer a square grid and this one is rather amazing.
I think I’ve been converted to Stalogy sticky notes. The clear tabs are great for journals, so you can easily mark your page without covering your contents. Just be wary about applying them to wet ink as if you stick it on a bit wonky and go to rejig it you’ll lift some of the ink off.
You can never have too much washi tape and I love the quality of Maste tape.
Each box features postcards from young creatives, which is pretty awesome. Good luck deciding which ones to keep and which ones to send on. Plus, for each box shipped this year, Spotlight will donate to Allsorts, a charity which supports children with additional need and their families.
Like what you see? Spotlight Stationery are offering my readers 10% off with code GEEK10. Plus one of you lucky stationery nerds can win one of their previous boxes. Just complete the Gleam entries below to be in with a chance of winning.

Interested in the Legami “My Notebook” Can you provide more detailed photos of the special pages? I am especially interested in the monthly planner ones and how they are formated. Thank you
They’re all pictured in the post :) There’s an example of the monthly planner page on the righthand page in the image after the world map, opposite the yearly goals.
I’m all about the pens. I just love trying new brands and styles of pens. I’ve been known to refuse to lend people my pens! Whoops. XD Fab review and giveaway! <3
Haha me too 🤓
I’d love to find stickers & stencils in a stationery box :)
I’d like to see greeting cards, a notebook, Post-it Notes, a pencil case, pens, novelty erasers, highlighters and other similar items.
I ordered one of their boxes in the past, and every time a new one is announced I admit to being sorely tempted …
This is great! Im going to check out the subscription thing now!
My life … without stationery … is nothing!!
Especially during #nationalstationeryweek!
Preach! 🤓
Thanks for the great review. I’ve avoided monthly subscription boxes after being disappointed with the contents, but this looks like good value for money. I may be tempted! Xx
I think it’s got the edge on the likes of Papergang 👍
I’ve been uhming and ahing about a stationery box subscription, I think you may have twisted my arm!
Haha, brilliant! ❤🤓
A lovely idea, I’ve never thought about a stationary subscription before.
