I’ve tried a couple of Sakura sketch/notebooks before and the 140gsm paper is great. The only downside is black paper is so bloody hard to photograph!

The idea of blackout journaling terrifies me as I feel like my mistakes would be shown up more but there are so many pretty products like these which look so good on black paper.
I’ve learned to embrace the mistakes. OK, embrace is a bit much… I just turn the page and move on!
Gelly Rolls are my favourite gel pen! I’ve never tried journalling on black paper though, it does look interesting to try out. I’d spend loads of time trying planning my layouts and making things look as good as possible, but then again I enjoy doing that. 😊

I think it depends on what you want to get out of it. I’ve got the Neapolitan on my Christmas list, which has a mix of white, kraft and black paper <3
