#ThreeFictionalCharacters

You know I can’t resist a good tag or trend, so I had to get in on the #threefictionalcharacters action. In case you’ve missed it, it’s where you define yourself in three fictional characters in a meme/collage. According to this Hollywood Life quiz, I’m a foodie and so my spirit characters are Liz Lemon, Bilbo Baggins and August Gloop! Nice! My initial thought was more bookish/feministy and I had to go with the following:

three fictional characters

Matilda (image via): I’ve always loved reading, even as a kid. At the age of seven I had already gone through all of the required reading at school and was reading to myself at home. I’d max out the total book allowance at the library and devour whatever I could get my hands on – Enid Blyton, The Babysitter’s Club, Goosebumps, Sweet Valley High… Even now I’ve always got a book in my bag – it’s currently a biography on Roald Dahl.

Rory Gilmore from Gilmore Girls (image via): Admittedly, I’ve only just started season three, but I can totally relate! Always studying, bookish, career first, great relationship with her mum, wants to be a journalist, from a small town… I just wish I had her quick wit.

Kat Stratford from 10 Things I Hate About You (image via): I’ve mentioned before that Kat was the first character that I wanted to be like; I thought she was friggin’ awesome! She was smart, funny, bad-ass, didn’t give a shit what people thought about her… I read The Bell Jar because she read it and fell in love with the work of Sylvia Plath. She had awesome taste in music and I downloaded the soundtrack to listen to more. I also started questioning gender roles and stereotypes and mini feminist me started to blossom. Over 15 years later(!), this film still holds up and I still want to be like her when I grow up, even though I’m now a decade older than her character!

Which three fictional characters do you think you’re most like? I’d love to know! Leave a comment or tag me in your Instagram post (I’ve posted my collage there too).
