Self-Care Sunday #13

Wow, it’s been a busy week. I’ve done the equivalent of an extra working day from home this week, taken Jenson to his swimming lesson, gymnastics and the park, plus lunch with the family and general mum/housework duties, so there’s not been a helluva lot of time for me/self-care. Fortunately, I started a gratitude journal a couple of weeks ago and taking the time to write down three things I’m grateful for each day is a great way to encourage a positive outlook – even on those days when buses are late, I’m too busy for a lunch break and I get home after Jenson goes to bed. Yep, that all happened on Monday.

I mentioned my journal in a recent National Stationery Week post and I really do recommend The Green Gables’ Live Happy range as a way of bringing positivity and mindfulness into your everyday life.

  1. Cool 🙂 My wife and I started a positivity jar on 1st January after I got the idea from a blog I read. We note down any good memories on a card and fold it up to go in the jar. Then on New Year’s Eve, we’ll open it up and take turns reading them out 🙂
