Ah, November. My birthday month and the start of the Christmas festivities. What’s not to love? Here’s a look back over the last month on the blog and, ya know, IRL.
I’ve been reading a lot of feminist titles at the moment (4) and am becoming more into non-fiction. I’ve got my fingers crossed that Santa brings me 200 Women (5) in a few weeks but I’ve saved some birthday money just in case.
I’ve worked on a few fun collaborations again this month, notably working with Pen Chalet to promote Fountain Pen Day (2). I love epically nerdy days!
Have I mentioned it was my birthday month? My lovely mum let me have my blog planner (3) early and I freaking love it. The extra space in the new design means I can track my life admin as well as schedule my blog posts, etc. My dad also gave me my new boots early (8). They’re good eggs.
Tis the season and all that, so I’ve been scoffing many a chocolate reindeer (9) and getting excited over festive coffee cups (7). If you don’t Instagram them, did you even drink them?
Christmas also means loads of markets and I’ve headed to two lately. The first was Outlaw (6) and I was able to introduce myself to more makers for potential future collaborations.
Let’s mention my birthday (7) one last time, shall we? I went out for cocktails (6) with friends the night before to mourn the loss of my youth. They were tasty! Post-birthday I went on a mini shopping trip in Truro with my mum and they had a cute little Christmas market set up (8).
This wouldn’t be A Cornish Geek if I didn’t mention books and stationery so here’s a look back at some faves from the month. I freaking loved Sarah Knight’s The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a Fuck and You Do You (3) and I also won Blogger’s Bookshelf’s anniversary giveaway (1). I’m hoping to find the time to read The Loneliest Girl in the Universe before I have a couple of weeks off for Christmas. Wish me luck.
Stationery-wise, I participated in another swap (9) and started my Ambassadorship (is that a word? It sounds cooler than Ambassador role) with Busy B, reviewing their 2018 Life Diary. I’ve also got an exclusive discount code for 25% off all through December. Just enter CORNISHXMAS at the checkout. See here for terms and conditions, as well as some shopping suggestions.
Lastly, we’ve been getting more festive over the last couple of days (5) and I’m so excited for the next few weeks. I’m a sucker for a cute window display and love the pop-up featuring work of local college students (4).
Bring on December’s festive fun!
