Last week we were invited to Land’s End to review a new interactive family attraction, starring much-loved characters from Oscar-winning animation studio Aardman.
New for half-term, and available throughout the 2018 season, the ‘Aardman Presents: A Grand Experience’ attraction features the iconic Wallace, Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Morph.
There’s something for all ages, with interactive experiences for the youngsters and plenty of nerdy throwbacks for long-time fans.
You can literally step into Wallace & Gromit’s living room and sit in Wallace’s armchair. Of course, I had to partake.
You can also explore their workshop and work on your own inventions, which Jenson loved.
Being a lover of animals, he also loved the farm area and gave characters high fives and ‘boop’s (thanks for teaching him that, Trolls!).
‘Aardman Presents: A Grand Experience’ is part of a £200,000 investment in Land’s End this winter, which will also includes a new 4D film at the venue’s 100-seat cinema, titled ‘Return To The Lost World’. We’re big dinosaur fans in our house and Jenson loved it. I thought he might be a scared of, or at least daunted at, having massive dinosaurs roar in his face, but he just roared back! It’s hard to get photos in there because of the lighting but you can just make out the bubbles in the second picture below.
You can also have your picture taken after the film and take home a souvenir (also available for the Aardman attraction). They’re £7 each or two for £10.
These two fun attractions definitely help make Land’s End an all-weather venue. It was a bit damp and foggy when we rocked up but Jenson still loved running around the park – and we warmed up with some fresh (and very tasty) doughnuts.
We popped down to the farm too and I faced my bird fear (somewhat) so that Jenson could see everything. FYI, if you have a bird phobia, big-ass geese greet you on arrival and chickens roam free. But there’s a really lovely horse to say hi to, bunnies with floppy ears which I wanted to take home and an awesome pig which sits for treats, so it was kinda worth it.
Here’s a cute pic of Jenson running up to wave at the llamas.
‘Aardman Presents: A Grand Experience’ is now open and is available on the following dates:
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th February
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th March
Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th March
Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March
Saturday 24th March – all the way through until the end of October Half Term (Friday 26th October).

We were given free entry to the attractions in return for an honest review. All nerdy thoughts are my own.
