Celebrate Today is a guided journal written by Jessica MacLeish and illustrated by Hello!Lucky. Designed to add some yay to your day, whatever the day, it’s just one part of a ridiculously cute new stationery collection from Abrams + Chronicle.
Also in the collection is (pictured above left-right) a journal* (hello, dot grid!), sticker book* and notebook*.
I love that more and more journals have a flexible layout. Dot grids make life so much easier all round, plus this journal has the added bonus of a ribbon page marker, elastic closure, page numbers and built in contents pages. Oh, and seriously adorable little illustrations!
I put it to the pen test, using my CalliCreative fountain pen, plus my STABILO Sensors, Pen 88s and Swing Cool highlighters. And guess what? No bleed through! Not even with the fountain pen, which is the downfall of most other journals.
There are also four sheets of planner-themed stickers at the back of the journal, featuring over 140 stickers – perfect for tracking your mood and highlighting key dates. I particularly love the sloth design.
I never used to be that into using stickers in my planner but I’m totally converted. The separate sticker book features over 1,000 stickers, helping you track your reading and viewing habits, set up mini diary templates and create some self-care reminders. I’m going to be so organised!
I’ve got to be honest, I always set up my bujo with the best of intentions but it often falls by the wayside because it takes a lot of time and effort to maintain. These stickers are going to come in so handy and will hopefully help me keep on
The notebook is great for keeping all of my blog notes in one place, whilst also matching with my new bujo. It features the same illustrations, in blue instead of pink, and the narrow lines help keep everything neat.
I put this one to the pen test too and found that the fountain pen bled through ever so slightly, as pictured below. I tend to stick to the Sensor when note-taking anyway, so it’s not a problem.
I think this might be my new favourite stationery collection. I’m planning on using it for my 2019 bujo because I love that I can use the stickers in place of any kind of artistic ability. I’ve already got plans for my January spreads, which I’ll share soon. I like to start a new bujo at the start of a month or year so, as the new academic year has already started, I’m going to have to wait a bit. Please tell me I’m not the only one this precious over a new notebook!
