I love Studio Ghibli films. My favourite is My Neighbor Totoro, so I had a little nerdgasm when I saw that Abrams + Chronicle were launching paper-based merch last year. I reviewed the notecards and postcards back in October and now they’ve added plush journals to the collection.
The notebooks come in two designs: Catbus and Totoro himself. I love the super soft cover with embroidered design and there are also illustrations throughout. The inside front and back cover is full colour, with single-colour highlights on the lined pages.
It’s 6×8 inches, with 96 pages and a removable jacket, should you wish to keep that glorious cover safe when throwing it in your bag.
