I’ve tried a fair few diaries, planners, and journals over the years, from one line a day, to goal-setting, to change-making, and, of course, the bullet journal, in my quest to find the perfect system. But does such a thing exist?
I first came across Think Trigg a couple of years ago. I think I read about them in Stationery Matters, then flicked through a copy at my first Stationery Show. It’s one of the most detailed daily planners out there, combining mindfulness, gratitude, reflection, and productivity all in one place. Got2Jot ran a special offer recently so I decided it was time to try one myself.

It’s more than a diary and more than a journal. Its intention is to help you transform your life.

I’m a big believer in the benefits of putting pen to paper, and setting focused, achievable goals.

It has all of the features that you’d expect from a diary/planner and more, with a year to view spread, annual and monthly goal setting pages, plus day-to-a-page schedules/prompts.

It’s a great product to start the new year with as it encourages you to think ahead in all of the key areas of your life.

The Annual Forecast section helps you lay out your key targets for the year.

Then you break it down month by month, and day by day. These pages feature weekly gratitude prompts and space for reflection.

There are also review pages six months in and at the end of the year.

Now for the nitty-gritty: it’s an A5 hardback, with 90gsm ivory paper, made up of 368 pages, plus an elastic strap and ribbon bookmark.
This is a fantastic tool for people who need structure and daily prompts. While I like the reflection and goal-setting, plus the focus on mindfulness and gratitude, I struggle with a page a day. I get pissed off with myself if I miss a day and then I feel like I’m not seeing the benefits, so it’s easy to give up. I’d like to see another version which is undated but still covers 12 months, with weekly prompts instead.
What kind of structure would you like to see in the perfect planner?
Glad you like it. I will mention to the team about an undated version
