Hands up who’s read Paper Aeroplanes… Not yet? Well get on it! The sequel (which I first heard about mere days ago!) is out next month! Paper Aeroplanes is the fabulous Dawn O’Porter’s first young adult novel (although still appropriate for slightly older adults to read) about an unlikely friendship between two teenage girls growing up in Guernsey in the mid-90s. Anyone who is, or ever has been, a teenage girl will find plenty to identify with. And I’m not ashamed to admit it made me cry a little bit on the bus.
As for the sequel, for those who have read its predecessor, it picks up a year and a half later, with the girls in their final year of school and about to head off for university. And the best bit? Its Amazon description reveals that two more books are planned in the series. Yay!
