I think I might have to rename this blog series Subscription Box Sunday soon because I’ve come across so many boxes that really do make my week. HyggeBox* is the latest box to be sent for review and it’s a bleddy beauty.
As I opened it I was instantly hit with an autumnal, hygge feel, with bright, seasonal oranges and plenty of products to help make the perfect hygge night in.
I don’t know about you but there’s something about the dark evenings and rainy weekends that just make me want to stay in, light a candle, grab a warm drink and just enjoy getting snuggly indoors. Fortunately HyggeBox have the ultimate treats to help make this a reality.
Not gonna lie, I totally scoffed the chocolate gift box immediately after I took a photo of it – yummers! Don’t worry, there’s a chocolate orange bar too, so plenty to keep my tastebuds going.
I loved the orange theme, with the orange cushion cover (used as a backdrop for these flatlays) and orange tea, which I loved brewing in my rather apt orange squirrel infuser. Sidebar: I love this infuser. It was only a couple of quid from Amazon, the silicon is so easy to clean and there’s no leakage like with my previous one. Perfect!
What I love about the HyggeBox is that it aims to create a box of wellbeing and happiness – and happiness is the theme for September’s box. It certainly put a smile on my face. Hygge was a particularly big trend last year and this year we seem to be adopting the term ‘lykke’ (Danish for happiness). The Danes clearly know what they’re talking about when it comes to a cosy and happy lifestyle and I’m definitely a fan of these trends!
Togetherness features on the Hygge Manifesto and there are little treats to help you reach out to loved ones, including a cute greetings card and, if you’re feeling super generous, you could always pop those posh chocolates in the post. Or why not invite a friend around for a night in and share the larger bar over a couple of cups of tea and dig out the playing cards? There really is a whole box full of ideas here.
You can treat yourself to a HyggeBox subscription – or gift one to a friend. You can order a one-off box for £25 or create your own individual HyggeBox from £35. It’s such a great gift idea, especially for Christmas. In fact, the HyggeBox team have created a special one-off for Christmas for £60.
Happy hyggeing!
