My life in photos: March 2018

I know I say this every month but how is it April already? The first quarter of the year is gone but it still feels like it was just Christmas. And this time next month I’ll be planning Jenson’s third birthday. Wowzers!

Rather than looking forward, I’m just going to take a moment to reflect on the last month. The month which saw more than a few snow days, some fun review posts and lots of tasty treats – what else is a gal to do when she’s stuck at home recovering from an operation?

My neighbours had a bit of a clear out (1) and I managed to acquire a whole bunch of free comics! Why they’d wanna part with literally dozens of awesome comics for free is beyond me.

On account of the snow days (3), we spent a fair bit of time indoors and did loads of baking (2). Jenson has definitely mastered the art of sprinkles now – and licking the spoon!

I had loads of fun with the blog last month, reviewing Make Change (7) and highlighting some favourites for St Piran’s Day (9). I also celebrated World Book Day (4) by collaborating with Literary Emporium (5) on a fun review and giveaway post. Oh, and I did another stationery swap (6)!

Mothers Day (8) also came and went in the blink of an eye but I managed to go out for brunch with Mum and Jenson, which was nice.

I grew my TBR shelf by a significant amount last month, not least because I’ve just not had the opportunity to read while I’ve been on sick leave (gotta love kids!). My mum bought me Sophie Kinsella’s Surprise Me (8) and this gorgeous edition of The Secret Garden (4), plus Penguin Classics sent me an awesome selection (1).

Unicorns have also continued to feature strongly across The Gram, including this awesome shower wash (2), these tasty cakes (6) and these incredible ice creams (7). Keep an eye on my Stories for more finds.

I’ve been snacking on plenty of awesome Easter treats and neither Jenson nor I can resist these bunny crumpets (5).

Other highlights from the month include these stunning flowers (3) which the guys from work sent over after my op and these kawaii stationery supplies from Blippo (9). The giveaway is open for a couple more days so get in there fast!

Despite being stuck at home for most of the month, I actually had a pretty decent time of it. Here’s to a full recovery and plenty of geeky fun for National Stationery Week in April.
