Review: Bookishly Tea and Book Club

Bookishly is a bookworm’s dream. Packed full of literary gifts and accessories, you can picked themed goodies for fans of Alice in Wonderland and Jane Austen, as well as crates featuring limited edition covers of classics. You can also book a blind date with a book! I especially love this print and journal. But that’s not all! They also offer a subscription service! And y’all know I love a good subscription box.

C.S. Lewis said it best when he said “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” And Bookishly certainly caters to bookworms with a fondness for hot beverages. Subscription packages start at three months, with £36.00 for tea drinkers and £27.00 for coffee fiends.

As well as a vintage book and few brews, you also get some beautiful stationery. At approx £9-12 per box, I think that’s pretty bleddy good!

I loved everything about my first Bookishly box, from the presentation, to the wrapping, to the contents. Hell, even the tea itself is beautiful – and I never thought I’d find tea beautiful. Packaging, sure, but you’ve gotta admit these teabags are rather stunning – and they taste good too.

I was also really pleased with the choice of book. The only Salinger book I’ve read (and re-read and re-read and re-read) is The Catcher in the Rye and I’ve been meaning to read more of his books.

I really do highly recommend a subscription as a treat for yourself or a gift for a fellow bookworm. It’s super cheap – for the price of a new paperback and a coffee you can try something new, have a few drinks and get some new stationery. Plus we all love fun post, ammiright?!
